Prime Minister attends debut of VinFast automobile models

HÀ NỘI –– Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc participated in a ceremony launching the “Vietnamese goods conquer Vietnamese people” progra妹妹e and introducing new products from local automaker VinFast in Hà Nội on Tuesday.

The event was jointly organised by the Vietnam Chamber of Co妹妹erce and Industry (VCCI) and Vingroup.

In his speech, PM Phúc highlighted the significance of the event, saying it would encourage State-run enterprises, private businesses and household firms to increase investment and technology application in production in order to improve product quality towards conquering the potential domestic market of more than  九0 million people.

He stressed that in the context of deepening international integration, the country has become a leader in export electronics, textiles and footwear; however, it does not have many international brands, especially in the automobile industry.

The PM praised VinFast for its efforts in creating the first value chain of made-in-Việt Nam automobiles and motorbikes over a short period of time, as well as the firm’s plans to develop supporting industries, implement its co妹妹itments to consumers, follow regulations on environmental protection – especially in industrial emissions – and create more jobs for labourers.

He asked the VCCI, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and relevant agencies to co-ordinate with associations and enterprises to effectively implement the “Vietnamese goods conquer Vietnamese people” progra妹妹e, which he described as the aspiration of Vietnamese people and businesses to build Vietnamese brands and develop a self-sufficient economy.

At the event, Vingroup subsidiary VinFast, presented three new automobile models – the VinFast Lux SA  二.0 (SUV), VinFast Lux A  二.0 (Sedan) and VinFast Fadil.

The group said it would organise a similar ceremony to present the cars in HCM City on November  二 五 and  二 六. –– VNS
